About Us
hey guys, its us :) mau and diu for each other, maheen and adeena for the world. we’re two college roommates. we spend a LOT of time together (no kidding), 1000s upon 1000s of chai sessions, getting groceries, doing laundry, bullying each other, we really do love each other.

adeena, being the all-rounder perfect sughar girl she is, not only makes amazing chai, but has an unmatched talent for crocheting. since childhood. she's the type of girl your mom would compare you to and say “seekho kuch iss se” (has happened guys). anyways, with ANY spare time we had, you would see endless balls of yarn on adeenas bed, and she would casually be crocheting the prettiest accessories.
a true grandma at heart she is.
maheen, well we won’t praise her much because she’s the one writing this. she’s just looking for stuff to do to avoid studying. hence the jewelry making began.
[adeena here! and now, let’s talk about Mau — or more appropriately, Mau Jee. She’s the creative engine behind Noorain. From designing posts to editing reels, her eye for aesthetics keeps everything looking sharp (and us looking somewhat alive). While I take two business days just to think, Maheen’s already done, dusted, and added sparkles. She's the human version of Canva Pro — but faster, sassier, and way more chaotic. She loves everything risky, thrives under pressure, and somehow always pulls through. Fiercely independent, always figuring things out on her own, and truly the driving force behind Noorain, quite literally the reason I wake up on time and get things done. And beyond all that, she’s our sunshine: bright, unpredictable (in the best way), and lights up every room she walks into. If Noorain had a heartbeat, it would be Mau’s 5 AM Canva hustle. <3 , and now back to maheen]
it was just another day. another electronics lab. another failed quiz. another chai session. another “kuch karte hain yaar”. but, that day, kuch karliya, we actually did something. that day, from our small dorm room, noorain was born.
we initially 'sold' to our friends, honestly noorain didn't get the exposure to the outside world. it was tough, being the ‘everything’; craftswomen, marketing directors, social media managers, of your own small business, but we navigated through it. it felt good to have a creative side. not to mention, all of this wouldn't be possible without our BIGGEST CHEERLEADERS, our third roommate, some friends, some seniors, it took a whole village to run this business and we would be nowhere without them <3
now noorain continues to grow and receives more and more love. setting up stalls, getting orders from around the country, our baby steps feel huge to us. even this website seems like a huge milestone!
never thought that a chai session would lead to this. and if you’ve read all the way till here, thankYOU for supporting and loving noorain!
at noorain, it's all about tangled tools on the bed, long conversations while crafting, and the quiet magic of creating something from almost nothing. we truly believe handmade things have a certain magic and mass-made just can’t emulate that. each item is made with love, each one having a unique backstory to it.
